Uxbridge, April 26, 2024: EZVIZ, a world-leading innovator in smart home technology, was today presented with an Attestation of Conformity (AoC) certificate, at the UK office of TÜV SÜD, on behalf of TÜV SÜD China, which affirms compliance for nine of its smart home cameras models with the Product Security section of the UK PSTI Act.

The main body of testing was performed by TÜV SÜD China, a globally renowned third-party certification organization. EZVIZ is one of the first companies in the market to obtain verification from a third-party test house in relation to the UK’s latest security requirements for consumer connectable products. It reflects the rules of ‘secure and private by design’ in EZVIZ’s consumer IoT devices, underlining the brand’s commitment to making security the cornerstone of its business and products, so as to contribute to a safe home for users in every way.

Effective from April 29th, 2024, the Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Act introduces ground-breaking cybersecurity requirements to better protect product security and individual privacy when using network-connected smart products. Working closely with TÜV SÜD China, EZVIZ’s data security, legal compliance and product teams acted swiftly to navigate this new regulatory landscape and carefully managed the specific security implementations. These efforts have ensured that the company fully understands and strictly adheres to one of the world’s first mandatory cybersecurity and product security standards.

In addition to the already certified cameras, EZVIZ has also started testing preparation and application for another 28 products, which range from video doorbells, smart door viewers, and home gateways, to cleaning robots.

EZVIZ and TÜV SÜD Cybersecurity team have worked closely together on these projects to ensure that the products tested demonstrate a high level of product security compliance and will continue with this professional co-operation, setting a benchmark for security in IoT Products.
