June 5, 2025 – This World Environment Day, the global smart home leader EZVIZ deepens its environmental commitment by extending its sustainability vision to a new frontier, protecting the interconnected ecosystems of land and sea. Celebrating a meaningful milestone, the company marks the successful reduction of 22.3 tons of plastic waste in 2024, achieved through the integration of recycled materials across its entire line of robot vacuums. Building on this achievement, EZVIZ now turns to the next chapter in its journey: the restoration of coastal ecosystems. Guided by its 2025 campaign theme, “From Land to Sea: Roots of Hope, Waves of Change,” EZVIZ announces the targeted expansion of its Global Forest Plan into marine environments. This evolution reflects a growing belief within the company, that a sustainable future can only be secured by protecting nature as a connected whole, where healthy forests and thriving shorelines support one another, and where innovation is designed to serve both the planet and its people.
The 2025 campaign also marks the third year of collaboration between EZVIZ and Treedom. Since the partnership began, 2,190 trees have been planted across Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Now, EZVIZ is launching its first large-scale mangrove restoration projects. Often described as “blue forests,” mangroves are vital to coastal protection. Their intricate root systems reduce erosion, shield communities from storm surges, and store carbon at rates significantly higher than land-based forests. Just as critically, they help filter pollutants, particularly plastics, before these reach open waters, offering a powerful natural solution in the global effort to curb marine pollution.
This new phase of the EZVIZ Global Forest Plan aligns closely with the United Nations Environment Programme’s 2025 call to end plastic pollution. By restoring mangrove ecosystems, EZVIZ embraces a nature-based approach that brings long-lasting environmental and community benefits. Planting efforts will begin in coastal regions of Southeast Asia and Africa, where environmental degradation poses urgent threats to biodiversity and local livelihoods alike.
"Sustainability shapes every decision we make," said Sophie Zhang, Global Brand Director at EZVIZ. "Expanding from forests to coastlines invites us to rethink how technology fits into nature’s balance. When innovation is built with care, it doesn’t just improve daily life. It quietly supports the planet too."
From green innovation to lasting progress
At EZVIZ, sustainability is a guiding principle woven through every stage of a product’s lifecycle, from thoughtful design and responsible sourcing to manufacturing, packaging, usage, and end-of-life management. This cradle-to-cradle approach ensures sustainability is foundational to creating smarter, greener technology. Among the many ways this commitment manifests, reducing plastic use stands out as a key indicator of the company’s broader efforts to minimize environmental impact.
“This is just one part of a wider effort to innovate more sustainably,” commented Zhang, “We’re equally focused on developing green technologies that can lighten their footprint. Together, these innovations form the backbone of our green-badged product line, products that not only perform more responsibly, but also help fund our Global Forest Plan and other long-term eco commitments.”
To date, the company has introduced more than 30 solar-powered innovations designed to reduce dependency on conventional energy sources, according to Zhang. By integrating Always-On Video Mode, EZVIZ ensures that each camera manages its power consumption wisely, reducing energy waste and prolonging battery health. The result is a smart home product that requires less charging, fewer battery replacements, and less overall material usage, contributing to both lower emissions and longer product life. EZVIZ also takes into account the less visible but no less impactful issue of light pollution. Traditional night vision often relies on intense lighting that can disrupt both human comfort and wildlife behavior. To address this, EZVIZ innovatively created ColorFULL technology, which enables full-color nighttime video without additional lighting. It’s a small innovation with big implications: clearer visibility for users, and a reduction in light pollution that benefits neighborhoods and nocturnal ecosystems alike.
“We see sustainability as an ongoing journey, embedded in everything we do. As a technology company, we know that our impact touches the environment, the people, and the future. With every step we take, we aim to inspire purpose, restore balance, and help protect the world we all call home,” said Zhang.
