Oct. 12 – EZVIZ, a global leader in the smart home market, pushes the boundary of its self-developed smart robotics technology with the RS20 Pro, elevating the industry pinnacle for a fully automatic whole-home cleaning experience. Upgrading from the award-winning RS2 robot, the RS20 Pro further reduces human labor to almost zero even for complex cleaning tasks on both hard floors and carpets.

Following its product preview and trial testing during IFA 2023, this highly anticipated 2-in-1 robot vacuum and wet cleaner integrates various unique technologies developed by EZVIZ: the automatic mop installation and detachment function, the 3-in-1 roller brush that cuts free tangled hair and picks up hidden dirt, auto-lifting side brushes to avoid carpet damage and tangled wires, and dynamic edge mopping for hard-to-reach areas. The RS20 Pro also comes with a multifunctional charging station to perform a full sanitizing circle, which includes automatic dust emptying, mop washing with hot water, hot air drying, and clean water refilling.

All these innovations come together to achieve one straightforward goal – users no longer need to do the “dirty work” manually. The RS20 Pro cleans their home and itself in depth, and can carry out complex cleaning missions on different floor types in different areas with smooth navigation and mode change, all automatically. Moreover, the robot expands the application scenario of a home robot, by integrating EZVIZ’s market-proven security technology to serve as a mobile home camera for recording pet videos.

To the era of zero hassle

It's common for many homes to have a mix of flooring types, and how to navigate the space for effective cleaning tailored to each floor and room type has long been a pain point of all cleaning robots, said Zhou. Firstly, the RS20 Pro meets the high requirements for a smart vacuum cleaner. It sucks in dirt and debris with strong 7,200 suction power, and automatically empties them into a 5-liter dust bag at the docking station. To ensure consistent performance, the robot deploys an innovative 3-in-1 roller brush system: it digs up hidden dirt with a combination of rubber strip and a bristle brush, and can cut off tangled hair by itself using the built-in blade when self-cleaning at the base station.

Taking care of delicate carpets at a whole new level, the RS20 Pro is made smarter in many ways. It detects carpet in real time so that it never steps on them with the wet mops. Once on the carpet, the robot will automatically lift up its side brushes to avoid unnecessary rubbing against the fabric, and automatically increase its suction power to remove the trapped dust, hair and pet dander. By integrating LDS LiDAR, structured 3D laser and an AI camera, it can also identify more than 65 types of common objects to avoid obstacles and quickly plan the cleaning route for different rooms, even in a multi-storey house. It knows to avoid falls and crosses uneven surfaces easily so it doesn’t get stuck or fail on stairs.

Notably, the RS20 Pro offers one of the most advanced wet mopping functions in the market. Instead of mop clothes, it uses dual mops that swirl to scrub hard with 10N pressure and spin into narrow spaces flexibly. Users can set the robot to mop-only mode for areas with wet, sticky messes, or let it run a thorough vacuum and mop mission, as it will automatically detach and install mop heads during the process. After each use, the robot will wash out the dirt, air dry its mops and refills clean water at the dock.

Making significant strides in the smart cleaning market since 2022, EZVIZ has been quickly obtaining market acclaims with its range of multi-purpose robots and handheld vacuum cleaners.
